It’s just the second month of the year and a lot has happened already! We kicked off this year strong with our hackathon competition in January. But there is more to come, we have a lot in store for you in the coming months.

Sync! Hackathon: Simplifying Collaboration

We concluded the Sync! Hackathon Competition on the 2^nd of February 2024, crowning The Mechanics (Adegbola Emmanuel and Oyebode Feranmi) as the winners with the most innovative product submission.

The Sync! Hackathon Competition themed “Simplifying Collaboration” brought together a group of creative innovators, problem solvers and tech enthusiasts across the continent. We kicked off the 48-hour marathon on the 31^st of January with 51 teams working tirelessly to build innovative solutions to solve the collaboration issues many employers face with their employees/contractors.

After 48 hours, it came down to 12 teams who presented a demo of their final product to a panel of judges during the final demo event on the 2^nd of February. Watch the live stream of the event here.

Team Mechanics (Adegbola Emmanuel and Oyebola Feranmi) were announced as the winners, securing a cash prize of $350; and Team Product Pros (Jacinth David, Morenike Jose, and Jaachimike Okafor) secured the first runner-up prize of $200.
